"The Lead and the Gun" by Aaron Saloman This song had drums, bass, and acoustic guitar tracked in a studio. All vocals, electric guitars, percussion, and cello were tracked with an MBox. Mics used for electric guitars were the SM57, AKG C3000, and RE-20. For the cello, I used an SM81 up close and an AKG C3000 a few feet back. Percussion was tracked with the C3000. Vocals used the RODE NT2000.... |

"Metaphony" by Hamish Fox This track started as a rhythmic experiment. The idea was to write a piece which had a triplet at the beginning and end of each bar. I opened up Sibelius 4 and quickly jotted down what you can hear as the first few bars of the piece. I'm of the opinion that repetition is a very useful tool to make a person listen closely to a small section of music, and is especially effective when that section is a little quirky, so I copy-pasted that over a couple of bars. I than exported a midi file which I imported into Reason 3.... |

I have 2 rooms set up one is the live room and one is the control room. I have installed acoustic sound foam in the control room covering about 50% of the room.
